A Small Journey Or Ours

Year of our actual beginning
We have planned our startup since past 3 years but time and again it didn't worked out.
With Startup, comes challenges. Our 1st was water management and dumping all extra water that enter's field in monsoons.
2nd was setting up a low cost structure to begin with.
3rd was to show our excellence in delivering promise to provide innovative and economical agricultural practices and enhance farm incomes.
4th Switch to high income crops which can ensure we are financially stable.
5th Chemical free farming which can help us safeguard us and our future generations from growing diseases
6th To do something which can increase income of farmer families by creating avenues and opportunities.

Year of struggles and accomplishment
We saved over 50 lac or 5 million lts of water by our innovative water management ideas and using dried borewells.
We installed a Shade net house in 4000 sq. mt. At the same time a small structure was made to ensure all team members at farm live at ease and productivity is increased
We harvested over 50 vegetables and flowers, to understand our soil, conditions and market of each vegetable we grew
We adopted organic farming practices in a area of 4000 sqmt and used locally available products like cow dung, cow urine, banana's and others to prepare our fertilizers. We used cow urine, neem oil for pesticides and insecticides. The results were awesome. We were sure that we eat is pure

This was our year of growth
As We had harvested over 50 vegetables and flowers last year we had experience on what to do and what not to.
We installed a new protected cultivation structure and also dug a new pond of capacity 40 lac or 4 million lts. to preserve water more. Our aim from Day 1 had been to be a water positive farm i.e. we preserve more than we use in an year. During the year we preserved over 1 cr or 10 million lts of water.
To make things happen fast we invested in our team. We brought in a farm manager who could help us plan and execute accordingly.
To increase farm incomes of our fellow farmers, we are in process to create a market where they can fetch higher prices for their produce and sell directly.
At the same time we are also in process to reduce their farming cost but adding organic naturally available items to their farming practices.
During the year we have increased farms under our preview from 5 acres to 30 acres.
